Riddu Riddu Indigenous Festival

The Sámi Annual Music & Arts Festival

Riddu Riđđu is a Sámi international Indigenous festival in Northern Norway that happens annually every July, about two hours east of Tromsø. The festival has programs for the entire family including live music, educational courses, cultural workshops, performing arts, seminars, art exhibitions, film screenings, a youth camp, permaculture garden, and a large campground where most people stay for the weekend. Hosted by the Sámi people, they feature many of their own artists, but also include indigenous musicians, performers, and educators from all around the world. For more than 30 years, Riddu Riđđu has worked to create more awareness and pride for the Sámi people.
