“We need to have a paradigm shift in our consciousness. If we don’t get our act together and come in commonality and understanding with the organisms that sustain us today, not only will we destroy these organisms, but we will destroy ourselves.” - Paul Stamets

Fantastic Fungi is a consciousness-shifting film about the mycelium network that takes us on an immersive journey through time and scale into the magical earth beneath our feet, an underground network that can heal and save our planet. Through the eyes of renowned scientists and mycologists like Paul Stamets, best-selling authors like Michael Pollan, Eugenia Bone, Andrew Weil and others, we become aware of the beauty, intelligence and solutions that fungi kingdom offers in response to some of our most pressing medical, therapeutic, and environmental challenges. Watch the trailer below and you can buy the film here: https://fantasticfungi.com.

Paul Stamets believes that mushrooms can save our lives, restore our ecosystems and transform other worlds. In his Ted Talk, Paul Stamets lists 6 ways mycelium fungus can help save the universe ~ cleaning polluted soil, making insecticides, treating smallpox, curing flu viruses, growing forests, and creating energy when turned into fuel. “He seeks to rescue the study of mushrooms from forest gourmets and psychedelic warlords.” He has filed 22 patents for mushroom-related technologies, including pesticidal fungi that trick insects into eating them, and mushrooms that can break down the neurotoxins used in nerve gas. His nutritional supplements made from medicinal mushrooms have been highly recommended to me on multiple occasions.
